The 2015 US Capitol Christmas tree is a 74-foot Lutz spruce tree from the Chugach National Forest. The lighting ceremony will be held the following evening, December 2. Introducing Alaska's 2014 Cherry Blossom Princess: Ms. Chelsea Marlow
Chelsea Marlow, daughter of Mark and Brenda Marlow, was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Chelsea currently works as Deputy Scheduler in US Senator Begich’s Washington, D.C. Office. She graduated from Robert Service High School in 2009 and studied political science at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She currently volunteers for the Everybody Wins Children’s Literacy Program and is pursuing a career in public service.
