About the event
Our favorite day of the year is just around the corner--Alaska Day! We will be celebrating with Alaskan beer and light refreshments on Thursday, October 17th at 6:30 PM at the capitol hill offices' of the North Star Group and Jack Ferguson & Associates.
This year marks the 151st Anniversary of the official transfer of the Territory of Alaska from Russia to the United States that took place October 18th, 1867 in Sitka, Alaska. Thus, every year the Alaska State Society gets together to commemorate this historic day and celebrate all that Alaska’s great lands and peoples brought to the United States. The event is free for AKSS members. Memberships can be renewed online HERE or at the door! *We accept venmo @alaskastatesociety (please include your email address in the description!)
For non-AKSS members entry is $15 at the door.
